In Woudenberg (on the border with Scherpenzeel), a former farmstead right next to the Grebbe Line has been transformed into an exhibition on the Grebbe Line. It demonstrates how the Grebbe Line was supposed to function, how the troops were mobilised in 1939, how this region suffered because of the German invasion in May 1940 and how it was later liberated. The acts of war in the Woudenberg, Scherpenzeel and Renswoude regions are clearly mapped out. In addition to visiting the exhibition, you can also experience what it is like to walk through a trench and take a look at a casemate from up close.

In 2017, a German bunker was excavated, part of the Pantherstellung designed by the German Wehrmacht in 1944. This defence line followed the course of the dismantled Grebbe Line.

During opening hours, a guide is present at the exhibitions to provide explanations. Visiting the trench, the casemate and the bunker accompanied by a guide is only possible on appointment. If you would like to make such an appointment, call +31 (0)33 277 1886.
